Hello Again

It's January 25th and a Saturday night.  Last time I wrote I was pregnant with the boys.  I take that back.  It took me over a year after they were born to write their birthing story.  LOL!   I thoroughly enjoyed writing every single entry for that blog.  I decided to make the boys a memory book from those postings and included corresponding pictures like their ultrasound pictures and my sasquatch foot!  I don't see them enjoying or appreciating it anytime soon but one day I feel it will be a special memento.  The truth is I dream about writing in this new blog everyday.  Everyday.  A means to escape my chaotic life. To have a few moments of peace to reflect, vent, be silly, share...ESCAPE.  Writing is something I enjoy and a stress reliever for me. I need RELIEF.  LOL! Finding the time is never easy.  Most days I feel that I'm on a roller coaster.  Every day has it's highs and lows.  (Let me just stop for a moment to share that as I type this I have a child holding a stuffed duck to my computer screen and blocking my view.)  Where was I?  Oh the highs and lows. The great thing about motherhood is the highs far outweigh the lows but the lows are challenging indeed.

I don't have an agenda or direction for this new blog.  I hope to be real yet my goal for the New Year has been to add humor to my challenging times.  As a mom at times you can feel defeated.  Luckily I learned a valuable lesson at a very young age...smiling and laughing are great remedies for the soul.  Also, a good cry and release can be just what the doctor ordered.  Oh and you gotta love the combo of crying  mixed with laughing.  That reaction is always my favorite. We look so terrible when we do that ladies!

Here I sit asking my fingers to type away wherever they want to take me.  As crazy as it sounds tonight I am finished.  I feel this is a start for me to find the time to do something for myself that I enjoy.  I hope you join in every now and then and share stories of your own.  As for now, my family and I are going to cuddle and watch Frozen.  Seems appropriate in this negative temp, Polar Vortex weather.
